2. Use of Website

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, systems or data

  • Upload or transmit malicious code or harmful material

  • Use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes

  • Copy or reproduce website content without permission

We may restrict access to the website if these Terms are breached.

3. Quotes and Estimates

Quotes are based on the information available at the time they are prepared.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote

  • Pricing may change if the scope of work changes

  • Pricing may change where site conditions differ from information originally provided

  • Additional charges may apply where extra labour, equipment, access requirements or materials are necessary

  • Any significant variations will be discussed with the customer before additional work proceeds where reasonably practicable

A quote is not considered accepted until the customer has accepted it in the manner requested by us.

4. Customer Information and Site Conditions

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information relevant to the work, including where applicable:

  • Property address

  • Electricity usage or bills

  • Existing solar system information

  • Switchboard and electrical system details

  • Roof type and condition

  • Site access details

  • Known hazards or structural issues

We are not responsible for additional costs or delays caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

Final system design, installation method and pricing may be subject to site inspection.

5. Deposits and Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Deposits may be required before equipment is ordered or work is scheduled

  • Progress payments may be required for larger projects

  • Final payment is due in accordance with the invoice or quote terms

  • All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated

We may delay ordering equipment, scheduling work, commissioning a system or completing further work where required payments have not been made.

Overdue accounts may incur reasonable recovery costs where permitted by law.

6. Installation Dates and Delays

Any installation or completion date provided is an estimate unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Delays may occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Weather

  • Equipment availability

  • Supplier delays

  • Grid connection or electricity distributor requirements

  • Government approvals

  • Access restrictions

  • Unsafe site conditions

  • Changes requested by the customer

  • Illness or workforce availability

We will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of material delays.

7. Site Access and Safety

The customer must provide reasonable and safe access to the property for inspections, installation and servicing.

Customers must inform us of known hazards, including:

  • Asbestos

  • Unsafe roofing

  • Structural defects

  • Dangerous animals

  • Restricted access areas

  • Electrical hazards

  • Other site risks

We may postpone or stop work if conditions are considered unsafe.

Additional charges may apply where special access equipment or safety measures are required.

8. Variations to Work

A variation may be required where:

  • The customer requests additional work

  • Site conditions are different from those originally advised

  • Additional electrical or structural work is required

  • Equipment specifications are changed

  • Work is required to comply with applicable standards, regulations or network requirements

Variations may result in additional charges.

Where practical, we will obtain customer approval before carrying out substantial additional work.

9. Solar and Battery System Performance

Solar and battery performance can vary due to factors including:

  • Weather

  • Shading

  • Roof orientation and pitch

  • Electricity usage patterns

  • Seasonal conditions

  • Panel temperature

  • Grid conditions

  • Equipment performance

  • Battery charging and discharging patterns

Any projected generation, savings, payback period or bill reduction is an estimate only unless expressly guaranteed in writing.

Actual financial savings may vary depending on electricity tariffs, feed-in tariffs, consumption patterns and future energy prices.

10. Government Rebates and Incentives

Solar and battery installations may be eligible for government rebates, certificates or incentive programs.

Eligibility and value may depend on factors outside our control, including:

  • Government policy

  • Installation date

  • Equipment eligibility

  • Customer eligibility

  • Scheme rules

  • Certificate values

We do not guarantee that a rebate or incentive will remain available until installation unless expressly stated in writing.

Government programs may change, reduce or end without notice.

11. Network and Grid Approval

Some solar and battery systems require approval from an electricity distributor or network provider.

Approval may be subject to:

  • Export limits

  • Inverter restrictions

  • System size limitations

  • Connection conditions

  • Technical requirements

We cannot guarantee that a network provider will approve a particular system size, configuration or export capacity.

Where required, the final system may need to be modified to comply with network requirements.

12. Equipment and Product Substitution

We aim to supply the equipment specified in the accepted quote.

However, if equipment becomes unavailable, discontinued or subject to unreasonable delay, we may offer a suitable alternative of comparable specification and quality.

Any material substitution will be discussed with the customer before installation where reasonably practicable.

13. Warranties

Products supplied may include manufacturer warranties.

Warranty periods and conditions vary between manufacturers and products.

Yeppoon Electrical & Solar will assist customers with warranty claims where reasonably required, but manufacturer warranties remain subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

Workmanship warranties may also apply as specified in the customer’s quote, contract or other documentation.

Warranty coverage does not generally extend to:

  • Misuse

  • Accidental damage

  • Damage caused by storms, flooding, fire or other external events

  • Unauthorised alterations

  • Work performed by third parties

  • Failure to follow operating or maintenance instructions

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Customer-Supplied Equipment

Where a customer asks us to install equipment supplied by the customer or another party:

  • We are not responsible for defects in that equipment

  • Manufacturer warranty matters remain the responsibility of the customer or supplier

  • Additional labour charges may apply if the equipment is unsuitable, incomplete or defective

We may refuse to install equipment that we consider unsafe, non-compliant or unsuitable.

15. Cancellations

Cancellation terms may vary depending on the project and whether equipment has already been ordered.

Where a customer cancels after accepting a quote, the customer may be responsible for reasonable costs already incurred, including:

  • Special-order equipment

  • Non-refundable supplier charges

  • Administrative costs

  • Site preparation

  • Labour already performed

Any cancellation rights available under Australian Consumer Law will continue to apply.

16. Electrical and Structural Work

Additional electrical, switchboard, roofing or structural work may be required before a solar or battery installation can proceed safely and lawfully.

Where such work is identified:

  • We will inform the customer where practicable

  • Additional charges may apply

  • Installation may be delayed until the required work is completed

We do not warrant the condition of existing electrical, roofing or structural systems unless expressly inspected and included within the scope of work.

17. Limitation of Liability

We take reasonable care in providing our services.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from:

  • Energy price changes

  • Changes to feed-in tariffs

  • Government scheme changes

  • Estimated savings not being achieved

  • Network restrictions

  • Delays outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

18. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including:

  • Text

  • Branding

  • Logos

  • Images

  • Graphics

  • System designs

  • Marketing materials

is owned by or licensed to Yeppoon Electrical & Solar unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, distribute or commercially use website content without written permission.

19. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

By submitting an enquiry or requesting a quote, you acknowledge that we may collect and use personal information as described in that policy.

20. Third-Party Websites and Services

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of Queensland, subject to any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
